Another fun week of Create for a Cause Blog Hop is over! It’s amazing to see all the beautiful ways our Ambassadors are using new Island Batik collection in their fabulous quilts and read about wonderful organizations they picked.

Currently my favorite quilting technique is machine applique.

My favorite part of quilting is sewing the fabric pieces together and seeing my vision happen as the quilt starts to grow!

My favorite quilting technique is FMQ. I love to quilt free-form feathers mostly in large negative spaces.

Every new collection that comes out is my new favorite, but I think Lavender Fields is is my favorite!

I would like to learn FMQ, but since I can’t do that very well, I’ll have to say quilting curvy lines with a walking foot.

I like the Mystery? collection the best. Who am I kidding it’s fabric I love them all!

I love to Applique, itty bitty bits can play along.

I love traditional piecing, but also like foundation paper piecing and Englush paper piecing. I just tried a curved light cabin heart using foundation paper piecing.

My favorite quilting technique is one most others despise: BINDING! To me, it’s relaxing, and it’s also the quilting finale! 😁

My favorite quilt technique is paper piecing.

I really don’t have a favorite technique, I do them all Paper Pieced, regular piecing, and applique, I can say that I don’t like to do curves that is my least favorite technique. All the Quilts are beautiful so far. Thank you for the chance to win.

Make traditional blocks into a quilt and machine quilt it.

I am fairly new to quilting and lean more towards traditional piecing. I have been learning a lot about free motion quilting and would love to explore other techniques in the upcoming year.

My favorite technique is piece first, cut later.

My favorite quilting technique is longarm quilting! I enjoy scrappy piecing with bold colors and black on white neutrals.

I’m pretty much a standard machine piecer – but I’ll dabble in other techniques as needed.

I do love patchwork best, but also like machine applique.

I tend to start my quilting with stitch in the ditch, or immediately around an applique. I then go from there, sometimes I echo stitch, sometimes straight lies, sometimes I pick a design in the fabric and do versions of that all around the quilt. It depends how much time I want to spend.

Wow my favorite, I like the more traditional, but I love learning new and try to have something new in each quilt, Just finished my first Lone star and added my own design of machine applique to the corners.

I really am loving quilt-as-you-go. I’m older and pushing a pulling a big quilt through my domestic machine is hard. I can do more intricate quilting on a 12 to 15 inch piece, than a whole quilt in the machine. Love Island Batik Fabrics!!!

I don’t know if I have a favorite technique. I like making HSTs 8 at a time. I really like making my HSTs a little big and then trimming them to the right size.

I like to use triangle papers for many quilts.

I’m just learning to quilt on a big computerized machine. It’s awesome! When it comes to making quilts and piecing, I’m always looking for the shortcuts.

My favorite quilting technique is paper piecing. I love it’s preciseness that gives me the ability to create some really awesome designs.

I actually love all aspects of quilting, from design, to playing with the fabric, and now long arm quilting, and binding and adding the label. It’s all so satisfying!

Foundation paper piecing is what I do a lot of so I guess it is my favorite technique. Also, anything and everything created by Gudrun Erla at GE designs-stripology rulers are amazing. I am a new enough quilter that I haven’t found my favourite technique yet. I have a few that aren’t my faves though. I am a batik hoarder and as part of my recovery I am starting to cut into some of my carefully curated collection LOL! I definitely have a favourite colour – purple and most people know it.

I like free motion quilting, although I am always daunted by it when I first start a project. Once I get going, I enjoy the process.

My favorite quilting technique is pressing my blocks on a wool pad. I think it is dramatically better than pressing my blocks on my ironing board. Thank you for such a nice give away!! Your fabrics are just beautiful!!
