Attention quilters! We have some exciting news for you! For the second time, we are joined by our friends from Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design for the Tool Talk Blog Hop! During the next four weeks, our Ambassadors will be stitching with a tool that is new to them. The tools are designed to make a specific unit in many different sizes, so you can work with small units to make a miniature or large units to make a large quilt. We can’t wait to see what they make!

If you’re new to Studio 180 Design, their fabulous team is renowned for their quilt tools, patterns and companion products that make quilting easier and more fun. Using Deb Tucker’s tools ensures accuracy and precision for the best results in all your quilting projects. Stay tuned as we share quilts created by our Ambassadors and tools they used. Our Ambassadors will be making their quilts with batiks from the latest Island Batik collections that will start shipping to your favorite fabric shops this month! We hope that you will follow along to see their wonderful quilts and get inspired to dive into what fun blocks these fantastic tools can create!

Every Friday we will be posting round-ups of the projects featured during that week and give away bundles of the new Island Batik collections, highlighted during the hop. I’m trying to use specialty rulers more.

Dreaming about what I can create with either Baroque or Bee Kind❣️

I use my Tucker tools on most of my quilts. Love them!

I rarely use specialty rulers. This is mostly because I lack space to store all of them.

The studio 180 rulers are my favourite! They make it easy to achieve precision.

Love Island batiks and yes I do use specialty rulers to sew and quilt. Like the blog to see what others are doing.

I use specialty tools and rulers occasionally, but usually more basic cutting rulers.

Every time I make something I use rulers and rotary cutters. I also use accuquilt dies, EQ7, templates, etc.

As a beginner quilter I am just really understanding how important the right too for the right job is. Particularly for constant blocks.

I don’t use many specialty tools but don’t you dare take my rotary cutter away!

I don’t use specialty rulers very much, but love having them on hand in case I need them!

95% of the time, I use my straight rulers. I have a couple special rulers that I have used from time to time, and I also have a couple rulers that I bought years ago at a show, and still have not used.

I use my regular rulers and rotary cutter often as I mostly do traditional piecing.

I started a mosiac quilt and used my stripology ruler to cut over 2000 2″ squares – specialty rulers have their uses!

My favorite specialty tools are a plethora of different rulers! They help make harder projects more manageable.

The more tools the better. For Christmas I got one of those rulers with all the slits in it to make cutting even easier. I’m all about quicker and easier.

Using specialty tools assures that your blocks turn out as the designer intended, having said that, I use them on about half my projects. I love quality of Island Batik!
