Quilts have several purposes. They are for warmth. They are to remember days gone by with patches of cloth from clothing of our loved ones. They mark an important date such as a wedding, graduation, or birthday. They honor the service of our military veterans. They are works of art to adorn our homes.

I guess the purpose of the quilt varies by its size. But one purpose of all quilts is to showcase fabric!
I had never considered a row by row quilt before, but seeing all the different creative versions – wow! I am enamored of Connie Kauffman’s garden one. I’d like to make it for a farmer friend of mine.

That is a loaded question. There are quilts we hang on a wall with a don’t touch just admire, some we put on our beds purely for beauty but the ones I like to make are the “hug me” quilts. The kind you curl up with a good book or the toddler drags around the house. These are my favorite quilts to make, giveaway, and use.

My favorite quilts to make are meant to keep someone warm and to show how much I love them.

My purpose of “gifting a quilt” is loving people with what I love to do! Thanks for this chance!

What is the purpose of a quilt? To bring love, joy and comfort to someone who needs it!

My purpose of a quilt is to reflect the beautiful area where I live so that other might appreciate nature’s beauty.

The purpose of a quilt is to show love to the person you give it to, and to commemorate events, birth, degree, wedding…

At the beginning, quilts were used for warmth, and still are today. But there are many quilts today used as art and are very beautiful. and impressive .Quilts are given to an expectant mother with love for her and the baby. They are made for toddlers by their grandmother to show they are special. So the purpose of a quilt is to provide warmth, to show love, ant to show admiration. It also provides us quiltmakers with a way to show our love of sewing and our artistic ability. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

To keep warm but also alot of people use them for memories they can make them and have a picture added or make them out of old shirts for memories.

The purpose of a quilt to bring love and kindness to whatever family receives it.

Quilts have many purposes. Decorative and utilitarian.

Gorgeous quilts. Quilts are made for love.

Week 4 The purpose of a quilt is to bring love, hope and dreams into the world.

Quilts are made for warmth, memories, or a gift, made and given by the heart, hands, and soul of the maker.

In some personal way, the purpose of a quilt is for me to use my creative skills to play with fabric and my sewing machine. A quilt allows me to spend time alone, listen to music and podcasts, all while soaking in memories, thoughts and love into every stitch. The finished quilt is just a hard copy of what keeps my mind flowing freely and my mental health regulated.

The main purpose of a quilt is for warmth. Secondary purposes are comfort, love, cuddling. The purposes in making a quilt is showing love and care, being creative, and just having fun.

The purpose of a quilt is to share warmth and love and beauty.

The most important purpose of the quilts I make is to wrap my family with love.

It could be a message such as route of travel (thinking of the Underground Railroad).

Quilts are the best way to share hugs when you can’t be there!

To enjoy them for their beauty, warmth, and to cuddle up in.

Quilts provide warmth, but the purpose of making a quilt is also about the process of being creative. I think quilts are great as gifts to show love and care for the recipient.

The purpose of a quilt is to bring joy to the person you gift it to!

Quilts have many purposes, to bring comfort, for warmth on a cold day or night, as art, to name a few.
